Dear Readers

Dear readers, friends and fans,

People who know me well tell me I’m a prolific writer. I suppose it’s true; I’ve written many different things in many different places for right around ten years now. Some of those places no longer exist, and some of those genres no longer interest me. If I gathered it all in paper form, I could fill barrels with my work. Of course, a couple of those barrels I’d like to send over Niagara Falls, never to be seen again. I have stuff stashed in binders, on hard drives and thumb drives. There are things residing in far recesses of various clouds, electronic accounts and blogs I’ve long closed down. Someday, when I go toes-up, they’ll bury me under a tree so my decomposing guts can pay back all that they stole, and people will find volumes of stuff that they can sift through for years if they like. I’ve even given one person permission to share and publish whatever she finds, so long as I’m not around to see how it’s received.

This site is the result of my own sifting. Here are the things I’ve decided are worth saving and sharing while my lights are still on because I think they’re good or just because they continue to entertain me.

I still add material here: new writings, things I don’t know what else to do with, older stuff I’ve just recently unearthed or stuff I’ve only just now mustered up the courage to make public. This is more of a repository than a blog. Feel free to browse.

Enjoy.

Sincerely,

Jim L. Cunningham

P.S. A few years ago it was en vogue to write Six Word Memoirs. The one I came up with for myself was “Inspired observer tragically adrift without purpose”. It seemed like the perfect title for this blog.

  1. I can’t wait to read your observations. You’re one of the funniest people I know… 🙂
